This painting is about the quieter side of my life in Canada, warm summer days, keeping a jug of lemon water in the kitchen, open windows, and all the little routines that slowly make a new place feel like home.
Not every memory from my time in Vancouver is tied to a landmark or a big moment. A lot of it is in these very ordinary things. I wanted to paint something bright and familiar that reminded me of those everyday summer days here, while also making a piece I would genuinely want hanging in my own kitchen.
