I painted this scene to hold onto that sense of calm curiosity that walking through campus at dusk gives you. The kind of walk that feels like a reset, where the sky does all the talking and the buildings fade into the background. The exaggerated streaks of crimson and gold in the clouds are my way of showing how overwhelming beauty can feel when it arrives unexpectedly, like a gift after a long day.
