Breakfast Before Class

Avocado was one of my most regular college breakfasts in Canada,  quick, easy, and usually eaten while getting ready for class or trying not to be late.

I painted this as a small study of something that was such a normal part of my routine at the time. Nothing dramatic, just one of those everyday things that ends up becoming strangely representative of a whole phase of life.

It reminds me of busy mornings, coffee, backpacks by the door, and heading out to class in Vancouver.
