For the water signs, I wanted everything to feel like it was flowing into something else. The waterfalls, river, reflections, rocks, flowers, and animals all exist within one continuous landscape.
 
Spirit of Water represents Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces, signs that I associate with emotion, intuition, sensitivity, and depth. Water can be calm and comforting, but it can also be powerful and unpredictable, and I wanted both sides of it to exist in this painting.
 
The animals within the scene act as the souls of the signs rather than straightforward zodiac symbols. Some are visible immediately while others disappear into the landscape, much like emotions that can sit quietly beneath the surface.
