Spirit of Earth is the most grounded of the four paintings. It is filled with greens, trees, flowers, fields, mountains, and a path running directly through the landscape.

Representing Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn, this painting is about stability, patience, growth, and our physical connection to the world around us. I wanted the landscape to feel abundant and lived in rather than dramatic. Everything grows from something else, and everything feels rooted.

The animals along the path carry the spirits of the earth signs. They belong completely to the landscape around them, which felt important to me because I have always associated earth with that sense of being grounded, dependable, and connected to nature.
