One thing I started noticing after moving to Vancouver was how many little patches of flowers show up everywhere once the weather gets warmer. Daisies especially, in parks, along sidewalks, outside houses, sometimes growing completely on their own.

I wanted this painting to feel like that part of Vancouver spring and summer: lots of green, fresh air, and simple white flowers suddenly popping up everywhere. I kept the brushwork loose and let some of the greens blend into each other so it feels more like actually coming across a patch of flowers than a perfectly arranged bouquet.

Just a happy little piece inspired by something I have grown very used to seeing around the city.
