European Corners of Canada I

One thing I have always loved about Canada is how some of its older neighbourhoods and little side streets can suddenly feel almost European. Colourful houses, sloped roofs, small windows, trees growing between buildings, there are so many little corners that have that charm.

This painting is my take on that feeling rather than one specific street. I wanted it to be colourful, slightly imperfect, and full of the little details that make a neighbourhood feel lived in.

This is Part I of a small series inspired by the European-looking corners I have come across in Canada.
