This one came from another very everyday subject that I kept coming back to while painting this collection. I loved how many colours were hiding in a bunch of grapes , deep purples, reds, and little flashes of pink where the light hits them.

I kept the background dark and the leaves bright so the fruit almost pops out of the painting. It has that fresh, just-washed feeling to it, like a bunch of grapes sitting on the kitchen counter waiting to be picked at throughout the day.

Simple, colourful, and very much one of my fruit studies from this time in Canada.
