The lotus has always felt familiar to me growing up in India. You see it everywhere, in temples, religious imagery, art, and even everyday decoration, so it carries this quiet sense of home for me.

I have also always loved what the flower represents: something beautiful growing out of muddy water without being defined by it. I think I connect with that idea more now than I used to. Life can be messy and uncertain, but you can still grow into something completely your own.
