I have always loved macarons, and Vancouver honestly made that worse. There are so many little bakeries and cafes here where they are almost too pretty to eat, so I wanted this painting to feel just as colourful and playful.
I kept the background loose and messy so the macarons could stand out. There is no huge hidden meaning behind it, just something sweet, fun, and very much inspired by one of my favourite little treats in the city.
