This painting came from a place of momentum, I wanted to capture energy that feels wild but focused. The horses are painted in oil for their weight and shape, while the background and water splash were built with acrylic to keep the strokes loose and dramatic.
There's something freeing about painting animals in motion, no need for clean lines or perfection, just rhythm, contrast, and flow. I imagined these horses tearing through shallow water under a dark sky, almost glowing in the moonlight.
