Green apples became one of those very ordinary things that were always around in my day to day life. In the kitchen, in grocery bags, grabbed quickly on the way out the door. Nothing particularly special, which is exactly why I wanted to paint them.
A lot of the things I end up remembering most are not big moments at all. They are little objects and routines that quietly become part of a certain period of your life. This painting is my way of holding onto one of those.
