There is something about seeing two swans move together that makes an ordinary moment feel almost unreal. I wanted this painting to capture that softness, with the pair drifting through water surrounded by loose branches, spring greens, and touches of pink and yellow.
 
The background is deliberately playful and dreamlike rather than realistic, almost like the memory of a warm day becoming brighter with time. For me, this piece is about companionship, calm, and those small beautiful moments in nature that make you stop for a second and just watch.
