Peacocks have always felt deeply connected to home for me. In India, they are more than just beautiful birds. There is something almost magical about seeing one unexpectedly, especially around the monsoon, when the landscape becomes greener and everything feels a little more alive.
 
I made this piece from that feeling of familiarity and wonder. The peacock carries so much colour, pride and presence, yet there is also something calm about it. When the Monsoon Comes is a little piece of home for me, and a reminder of the places, seasons and small encounters that stay with you long after you leave them.
